The chateau at Chambord. This is actually the "back" view, such as it is. Out of frame to the right are stables where they do frequent public horse-related shows of various kinds. At Chambord (unlike some other chateaux), there are no gigantic fancy gardens; here the attraction is the enormity of the chateau itself. Also of note here is the main central double-helix staircase, supposedly designed by da Vinci.
